We hope to grow this site in to a comprehensive resource for all things related to Mount Elgon in Uganda. Please share with us your stories, photos, information, pretty much anything useful and we will include it here!

 For the love of the Mountain and the People...

Over the last two years we have spent several months living, working and playing around Mount Elgon. The mesmerising beauty of the peaks in the early morning light, the rainbows after the rains, the bird songs, gorgeous sunsets, the glittering night sky, the Milky Way, the fireflies...

At times it felt like we had stumbled upon a secret, and perhaps it was better to keep it that way.

We got to know the people, became part of their lives as they welcomed us with open arms and shared with us everything.

"It is better if we get more visitors", they told us when we consulted them, including the staff at the National Park office. "Go share with your people about us", they advised us.

We also love hiking, wandering the mountains, and even getting to the peaks, both for the views and the challenge. And we wanted to share what we learn especially since information about Mount Elgon is somewhat scarce on the Internet.

Thus, the idea for this website was born.
